Terms of Service

BOOKINGS

Bookings may be accepted verbally; however, all bookings must be confirmed by email, purchase order, or written confirmation. Once a booking confirmation has been issued by 4KS Forklift Training, the course is considered confirmed and all payments made are non-refundable and non-transferable.

For in-centre training courses, candidates must ensure they arrive on time for the published course start time. Late arrivals may be refused entry to the course.

TERMS

All course fees must be paid prior to the commencement of training unless otherwise agreed in writing. Certificates will be issued upon successful completion of the course and full payment being received.

All candidates attending training, whether onsite or at one of our training centres, must comply with all health and safety requirements and follow instructor guidance at all times.

4KS Forklift Training reserves the right to remove any candidate from training for:

  • Unsafe operation of equipment
  • Disruptive behaviour affecting the course or other candidates
  • Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Failure to follow health and safety instructions
  • Falling significantly behind during training despite support and guidance from the instructor

In such cases, all fees paid will remain non-refundable.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

Once payment has been made, this is non-refundable. This applies to all payment methods and transaction types.

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 7 days prior to the course start date. Requests made within 7 days of the course start date may not be accepted and will not qualify for a refund or transfer.

If our instructor attends your site to conduct a booked course but is unable to do so due to a lack of facilities, unsuitable equipment, candidate absence, or any other issue within your control, the full course fee will remain payable.

DRIVER / TRAINEE SPECIFICATION

Operators must meet the minimum legal age requirements relevant to their working environment, including:

  • Over school leaving age for factories, warehouses, agriculture, and horticulture
  • Eighteen years of age for construction sites

Lift truck operators should be physically and medically capable of operating equipment safely, understanding both the machine’s limitations and potential dangers. Guidance may be obtained from the HSE Employment Medical Advisory Service where appropriate.

COURSE VENUE REQUIREMENTS (ONSITE TRAINING)

Our instructor will normally attend site from 08:00 and will require the following facilities:

  • A suitable truck (one per course) in safe working condition for the duration of the course, including a valid Thorough Examination certificate where required
  • A supply of suitable loads and empty pallets
  • A safe and practical training area separated from normal working operations where possible
  • Access to the main work area where practical assessments are required
  • Access to a suitable room for classroom-based theory sessions
  • Uninterrupted attendance of all trainees for the full duration of the course

Failure to provide the above may result in delays, suspension, or cancellation of training, with full fees remaining payable.
