Forklift Training Weekly Roundup

Weekly Forklift Training Updates: A Week of Conversion Training

This week’s forklift training updates from 4KS are all about back-to-back forklift conversion training, with candidates converting onto new truck types at our Birmingham and Peterborough centres and onsite, alongside Counterbalance and Reach Truck courses and onsite training for clients in Birmingham, Oldbury, Leicester and Nantwich, plus a further cohort from a client based in Spalding.

Birmingham Training Centre

Our Birmingham centre ran a full and varied programme this week, including:

  • 1-to-1 RTITB Accredited B1 training for candidates from the UK’s largest vehicle manufacturer, completing their courses at the centre
  • Counterbalance Novice training across two groups, alongside a Counterbalance Experienced course
  • A Reach Truck Novice course alongside a Reach Truck Experienced course
  • Reach Truck back-to-back conversion training for four candidates
  • Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) conversion training for four candidates

Onsite Training Across the UK

Our onsite instructors supported five clients in four locations this week:

  • Birmingham: Reach Truck Novice training for three candidates at our food wholesaler client in Aston, and for one candidate at our medical healthcare distributor client
  • Oldbury: Counterbalance Experienced training for two candidates, for a client in Oldbury
  • Leicester: A5 Pallet Stacker Refresher training for one candidate, for Europe’s largest automotive parts distributor
  • Nantwich: A5 Pallet Stacker conversion training for two candidates, plus PPT Novice training for three candidates, for an end-to-end cheese manufacturing client

Peterborough Training Centre

Peterborough had another busy week, including:

  • Another cohort of candidates from a client based in Spalding, with Counterbalance Novice training for three candidates
  • Reach Truck back-to-back conversion training for three candidates
  • Counterbalance back-to-back conversion training for two candidates

Weekly Highlight: Conversion Training Across Every Route

Conversion training was the thread running through this week. Well over a dozen candidates converted onto a new truck type: Reach Truck and Counterbalance back-to-back conversions, PPT conversions in Birmingham, and an A5 Pallet Stacker conversion for a client in Nantwich.

Conversion training builds on the experience operators already have, helping teams widen their skills without starting from scratch. It’s something we deliver at both of our centres and at your site, with onsite training bringing the course to the equipment your team already uses.
