Weekly Forklift Training Updates: Counterbalance, PPT, Bendi & More Across Birmingham, Onsite & Peterborough

With another week complete, our centres and onsite teams have once again demonstrated just how busy things get at 4KS Forklift Training! From novice courses to conversions and specialist equipment training, here’s a closer look at everything we delivered via our weekly forklift training updates blog!

Birmingham Centre

The Counterbalance Novice course was once again the most in-demand course of the week!

We welcomed a new group of candidates from the UK’s largest vehicle manufacturer, all completing their RTITB Accredited B1 Novice course with excellent results. Private candidates also joined us later in the week to complete their Counterbalance assessments and progress into the logistics sector.

Weekend training stayed just as busy, particularly with our sweetest client – a specialist in chocolate moulded confectionery joining us for their PPT (A1) course.

We also ran a Bendi (Pivot-Steer) Novice course, where all candidates successfully achieved their RTITB certifications. It’s always great to see operators progressing onto articulated truck equipment, as it expands their capabilities and value in modern warehouse environments.

Onsite Training Across the UK

Our onsite instructors covered several key regions this week, delivering accredited courses directly at our clients’ facilities:

• Counterbalance Novice and Experience courses for our automotive parts distributor in Nottingham and Leicester
• A dedicated Bendi course at the Coventry RDC of the UK’s largest vehicle manufacturer
• A Reach Truck course for a global logistics specialist operating here in Birmingham

These sessions help teams up skill without disrupting operations – a core reason why our onsite training continues to grow in demand.

Peterborough Training Centre – Fully Booked courses

Our Peterborough site saw another full training week, starting with Counterbalance courses for a local MHE supplier.
We also welcomed candidates from NetUK, completing their Combined Counterbalance and Reach Truck course that continued through the weekend.

The week wrapped up with Reach Truck back-to-back conversions, completing progressions from the prior weekend’s intake.

Overall, it was a busy, productive week with candidates earning new certifications and improving workplace safety and efficiency across multiple sectors.
